The role
Verifid is adding Compliance Screening Analysts to our US desk. You will build screening files end to end: confirming employment and credentials with the source, screening against sanctions and watchlists, and running adverse-media searches within a defined scope.
The core of the job is resolving potential matches. A name that pings a list is the start of the work, not the end — you gather what distinguishes the subject, reach a conclusion, and document how you got there so a reviewer can follow it.
This is a contract engagement, fully remote within the United States, with hours you arrange around agreed turnaround times.
What you'll do
- Compile employment, education and credential verifications into sourced files
- Screen subjects against sanctions and watchlists and work potential matches to resolution
- Run adverse-media searches within the agreed scope and document findings
- Write file summaries a reviewer or regulator can follow without calling you
- Escalate genuinely ambiguous files rather than resolving them by judgement call
What we're looking for
- Comfortable with structured research: searching, comparing, ruling in and out
- Careful written English — the file summary is the deliverable
- Familiarity with compliance, KYC, AML, due diligence or screening is a strong advantage
- Discretion with sensitive personal information
- Based in the United States and able to work as an independent contractor
